OneJoy equals NoJoy
OneJoy equals No Joy!
Having been a confirmed e-cig user for about month and a half, I was quite distressed when I realized that I failed to order my cartridges from V2 Cigs quickly enough and that I would run out about a day before my order was scheduled to arrive. About two weeks into my e-cig use, I stopped smoking tobacco cigarettes in favor of vaping. I did not want to buy tobacco cigarettes to substitute for my e-cigs until my cartridges arrived, so I decided to purchase a non-rechargeable e-cig.
I purchased a OneJoy last night. Manufacturer's claim on the packaging is that it is equal to about two packs of cigarettes. That was more than enough to hold me over until my cartridges arrived. Imagine my surprise when, a mere three hours later my $8 OneJoy stopped working!! I have never smoked two packs of cigarettes in three hours in my entire life!
I have had good results with the customer service department at V2Cigs when I had a few bad cartridges, so I hopefully called customer service regarding my eight dollar, three hour OneJoy. Customer Service did NOTHING! I was told to review the satisfaction guarantee on the site. In order to get refund I must:

Looking for advice on where to start with Electronic Cigs
I am a 25 year smoker, who has had enough! Trouble is, I love them. I love them so much. They are the love of my life! I know that sounds hilarious, but I know there are plenty of smokers who know what I mean. I have been hearing about Ecigs for a while, and have avoided them. My lungs just cannot take it anymore, though, and I can't last 2 hours cold turkey. I smoke Marlboro Special Blend "Golds", which are essentially the same as Marlboro "Lights". I hate minty or menthol smokes. I know part of my problem is an "oral fixation" as well, and I know that I probably won't bee into it if the "Cig" is black or blue or something. I know I will want it to be all white like my current smokes, because I know the psycological factor will come into play. I'm looking for advice on where to start. I have also read a lot on this site, and particularly like what appears to be an honest approach on here, such as the article making fun of the "free trial" offers. I guess what I am saying is I think this site represents the most respected brands on here, so try to keep your suggestions to those offered on here. Also, please include your insight as to how they work, how long they last, how they charge, etc. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks
FDA to start examining ingredients of cigarettes and tobacco products
Tobacco corporations must have all their products evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration in the next 10 weeks. A law passed in 2009 gives the Food and Drug Administration authority to regulate tobacco as a drug. The merchandise review is a provision required by that law. Tobacco products that have been altered or introduced since February 2007 must have their ingredients approved by the FDA to continue being sold. Otherwise they might be checking out installment loans in order to get their products accepted.
Regulation for tobacco funded by companies selling tobacco
In a move intended to rid the market of the most addictive tobacco products, tobacco companies must get FDA approval for products that have been launched or altered since Feb. 15, 2007. Tobacco companies have to prove to the Food and Drug Administration that all of the smokeless tobacco and cigarettes are, by March 22, "substantially equivalent to those marketed prior to that date." Tobacco companies must pay to fund the reviews and any resulting regulatory action. There is no need for smokers to have more health risks or encourage non-smokers to want to smoke even more. That means the FDA will ban the cigarettes that have tobacco product ingredient changes so much that they do this.

Katherine Heigl Smokes Electronic Cigarettes
OMG... Katherine Heigl smokes electronic cigarettes!
Katherine Heigl smoking the SmokeStik on the David Letterman Show is the big news today. She just whipped it out, joked about the bejeweled bottom and went off on how great ecigs are. David Letterman even took a big puff off of it and espoused the electronic cigarettes obvious benefits too.
Now, while I usually laugh at how OMG people get when a celebrity does something, I do have to say that this could be huge PR for electronic cigarettes in general and the SmokeStik brand in particular.
Rush Limbaugh's Ecig Rant was big in the political sector. But when Katerine Heigl smokes an ecig on the Late Show? Now that's BIG.

ECF e-cigarette-forum.com on medical claims
I was doing a little research to see the public's reaction after last Friday's FDA letters to the five ecig manufacturers claiming violations of the FDCA in regards to unsubstantiated medical claims in their marketing and, as usual, the forums are abuzz with outrage, debate and some intelligent arguments... and a few not so intelligent ones. Ah, well, such is the ecig Internet.
One post that caught my eye though was over at the ECF, the e-cigarette-forum.com, arguably the largest ecig forum in history. It's also one that more than a few of us have had issues with in the past because of their very strict "no medical claims" policy. Basically, if you profit from ecigs in any way and make any comments on your website they deem inappropriate or reference or discuss any medical studies, doctor quotes, news articles or say ecigs might help you quit using tobacco, or if any of the ecig makers you reference, are affiliated with or advertise on your website make any such claims they don't like, you are banned banned banned. Seems reasonable right? After all we don't want the FDA to ban ecigs based on unsubstantiated claims.
